Maui AIDS
About Us

Maui AIDS Foundation was founded in 1986, to help gay men on Maui who were suffering and dying from AIDS.

Quickly, MAF became an inclusive and welcoming agency, assisting everyone and anyone living with HIV/AIDS not only to survive with a debilitating and chronic disease but also to live with dignity, honor and respect.

Today over 165 people living with HIV/AIDS are served every year by MAF's case managers.

Over 135 people living with HIV/AIDS throughout the Neighbor Islands receive housing services .

Over 10,000 people per year receive prevention and education services.

Approximately 360 persons annually are tested by MAF staff for HIV and/or
Hepatitis C.

Our Mission:
  • To stop the spread of HIV infection and AIDS by raising public awareness and understanding.
  • To maximize the quality of life for those affected by HIV/AIDS through client services.
  • To advocate for improved HIV/AIDS services.
