MedQuest stands in support of our Maui Nui community and has temporarily paused new eligibility renewals.

Renewals for Maui County will begin in April 2024 for those eligibility runs through May 2024.

MAF is happy to share we now offer health insurance guidance and enrollment with our in-house Health Insurance Enrollment Specialist, Gertrudes Holder. It is great to have assistance when the enrollment process can be detailed and hard to navigate. Reach out or book an appointment to get a the support you need, we are here to help! 

WE PROVIDE ASSISTANCE WITH THE FOLLLOWING HEALTHCARE OPTIONS:

  • MedQuest (HI Medicaid)

  • Medicare

  • Healthcare.gov (Obamacare)

  • Individual Health Insurance

ARE YOU A HEALTHY ADULT BETWEEN 19 – 64?

  • You may qualify for MedQuest health insurance, if you meet the eligibility requirements.

  • MedQuest insurance is free.

  • Health insurance options include AlohaCare Quest, HMSA Quest, Kaiser Permanente Quest, Ohana Health Plan Quest, and UnitedHealthcare Community Plan.

HOW DO I QUALIFY FOR MEDICARE?

  • If you are aged, blind or disabled (ABD), you may qualify for Medicare.

  • If you are over 65, you may qualify for Medicare

CHILDREN'S HEALTH INSURANCE PLAN (CHIP)

  • If you have children under 18, you may qualify for CHIP if you meet the eligibility criteria.

  • CHIP insurance is free.

JOB-BASED INSURANCE

  • In 1974, Hawaii State Law requires private employers in the state to provide health insurance for their employees who work at least 20 hours a week for at least 4 weeks in a row.

  1. Full name(s), date(s) of birth and social security number(s).

  2. Dates and amounts of all income changes (unemployment benefits, layoff, furlough, part/full-time work, etc.).

  3. The date when your last insurance covered ended.
