UNDETECTABLE = UNTRANSMITTABLE
What is U=U?
U=U means “undetectable equals untransmittable.” More specifically, it means that people living with HIV who have an undetectable level of virus in their blood due to treatment are unable to transmit the virus to others.

GIVE A GIFT OF COMPASSION TO A COMMMUNITY MEMBER
SPREAD KINDNESS. The COVID-19 pandemic has had a profound impact on our Maui community. Maui AIDS Foundation has put together a self-care and COVID essentials basket for our clients and community members. Give a care basket at a time of great challenge for many. What a beautiful way to express support, give hope and make our Maui community feel cared for in these difficult and unfamiliar times. You are welcome to gift these care baskets to either MAF clients or community members of your choice!
MAUI AIDS FOUNDATION IN STEADFAST SUPPORT OF BLACK LIVES MATTER
Maui AIDS Foundation (MAF) stands in steadfast support of Black Lives Matter and our shared pursuit of a more just society.
At MAF, our work is predicated on people entrusting us with their health, sexuality, and details of their personal lives. Every person who enters our doors must be confident they will be treated with the utmost care and respect. However, in our society, it is clear that Black people are often not afforded the same level of care and respect as others. For that reason, we echo the refrain being heard around the world: Black Lives Matter!
MAF has always strived to serve those who are marginalized within our community. Marginalization, violence, and every other form of injustice are antithetical to the dignity of human life and the bonds of a healthy, thriving, and inclusive community.
Therefore, we call upon every person across Hawai‘i and the world to affirm with us that #BlackLivesMatter and to ensure all members of our society can live their lives with equal respect and dignity so we may all thrive as individuals and communities. We will not standby silently while any member of our society is systematically deprived of justice.
"There is no power for change greater than a community discovering what it cares about."
